The problem
The government is rolling out gratis ikke-kosmetisk tandpleje in waves. From 1 January 2027: citizens in omsorgstandpleje, specialtandpleje and the § 166 særordning, plus kontanthjælpsmodtagere and similar forsørgelsesydelser. From 1 July 2027: førtidspensionister (separate bill planned). Finanslovsforslaget 2027 reserves about 0.6 mia kr in 2027 and 0.9 mia from 2028. Patients and small dental clinics still ask which group starts when, what 'ikke-kosmetisk' covers, and how a clinic documents eligibility without a CPR dump. Ministry pages and union posts scatter the dates; no single checklist exists.
