The problem
L 35 (put forward 7 Oct 2026, in force 1 Jan 2027) cuts the legal max parent share of daginstitution and dagpleje costs from 25% to 21.3% and raises the kommune minimum subsidy to 78.7%. The same bill finally lets parents in private pasningsordninger apply for økonomisk fripladstilskud on the same digital self-service path as municipal daycare, and lets them combine privat-pasning tilskud with barselsdagpenge during induction. Parents on r/Denmark already argue about whether the cut is ~3,200 kr/year or nothing once kommuner rebudget; private-pasning families still cannot see friplads tomorrow. Kommune price lists and fripladsskala sit on different pages with no cross-check.
