OverenskomstKlar

Can your company hire this non-EU candidate under SIRI's new overenskomst scheme from 1 Jan 2027? A candidate check, a certification checklist and an alert when the unemployment threshold closes the scheme.

The problem

From 1 January 2027 a new SIRI route (the overenskomstbaserede beløbsordning) lets certified companies hire citizens of 16 listed countries into full-time, collective-agreement-covered jobs at a lower pay floor of 322,000 kr a year (2026 level), instead of the normal pay limit. SIRI announced on 13 Oct 2026 that companies can apply for certification from early December, with processing from 1 January. The rules are spread across the law, SIRI and DI guidance: the company needs at least 10 full-time employees, two years of operation and an annual report, a clean serviceattest, a SIRI guidance meeting and no underpayment fines in the last two years. The job must sit under one of the agreements the minister lists, and the scheme pauses if seasonally adjusted gross unemployment over the past three months goes above a level the minister sets. HR teams at small and mid-sized firms have no single place to check a candidate, prepare certification, or know whether the scheme is open on the day they apply.

Freemium sketch

What it does: a free candidate check (nationality on the 16-country list, full-time, salary against the indexed 322,000 kr floor, job under a listed agreement) plus a company certification checklist with document list and SIRI dates. Pricing: monthly (~149 kr/month per company), because hiring and the unemployment gate are recurring: saved candidates, an email alert when the three-month unemployment figure nears or crosses the threshold, salary-floor updates each January, renewal reminders, and an export pack for the SIRI application. How it could scale: seats for recruitment and relocation agencies running many client companies, an English/Danish candidate-facing explainer, and the same engine for the regular pay-limit, Fast-track and positive-list routes.

Competitors

SIRI and nyidanmark.dk publish the rules; DI, DLA Piper and other law firms publish guides and sell advice; relocation agencies handle cases by hand. No self-serve tool found that combines a candidate check, a certification checklist and a live unemployment-gate monitor.

Build notes

Next.js wizard with the country list, agreement list and pay floor in a config file. A monthly cron pulls seasonally adjusted gross unemployment from Danmarks Statistik's open StatBank API and compares the three-month average with the threshold. Auth.js + Neon for saved companies and candidates; Resend for alerts.
