The problem

The 2027 budget proposal cuts the VAT payment deadline from 60 to 20 days for firms under 50m kr turnover. SMVdanmark warns it will squeeze cash flow because firms may pay VAT before their customers pay them. A half-yearly payer's H1 VAT would fall due around 20 July instead of 1 September.
